Date: Tuesday, August 25th, 2026

Time: 1:00 - 2:00 pm ET

Summary

Join NFC for a peer roundtable focused on the unique challenges of building and maintaining reserves in nonprofits that rely heavily on government funding. We’ll explore how government-funded organizations are thinking about the right size and structure of reserves, navigating delayed reimbursements and the ongoing need for liquidity, and balancing financial resilience with the realities of their funding model. This interactive conversation is an opportunity to share experiences, challenges, and approaches with peers while helping NFC identify the tools and resources that would be most useful to organizations navigating these issues.

Participants will:
  • Hear and learn from each other while gaining insights from the NFC team
  • Share any experiences, successes, and/or challenges your organization has had around creating and maintaining reserves within the context of this particular funding model
  • Guide NFC in designing and delivering content best suited to address challenges faced by organizations that are predominantly government-funded
